These define our commitment to the environment and our community.
We are committed to making the world a better place. A commitment to strong environmental stewardship guides every decision we make. The following tenets guide all our decisions and activities.
Sustainability:
We are committed to making our environment sustainable for future generations. Our establishment of a Butterfly Garden was the first step in providing a safe haven for pollinators. We provide horticultural knowledge, including offering opportunities to engage in trips related to gardening, horticulture and pollinators, while providing an atmosphere of social engagement. In all instances our watchwords are reduce, reuse and recycle.
Conservation:
We aid in the protection of native plants, trees, and wildlife. We promote community education and beautification. We provide support for the Butterfly Gardens, the area’s premier community-supported gardens.
Preservation:
We are dedicated to preserving native and Florida-friendly plants and wildlife in our community and controlling invasive plants without the use of pesticides or herbicides. Bringing that message is a guiding aspect of all our decisions.
Stewardship:
We are committed to wisely making use of our resources, whether that means materials, water, nutrients, plants, and funding.
